In my experience, people don’t typically hit the streets protesting en masse in defense of people they need to be “liberated” from.

5 years ago today and one week into Covid lockdown, my wife and I headed to the hospital unsure if I’d even be let into the delivery room with her. Bringing home a newborn during the pandemic was…unique.

I read that a new medication I was prescribed can sometimes worsen the symptoms of someone with an anxiety disorder. I emailed my doctor asking if I should still take it being as I, in fact, have an anxiety disorder and have had medications exacerbate it in the past. /1

Alright, now that I’m home safe, I can say that I’m happy I took the two quick flights instead of the 30+ hours of train travel. 😅

There was a lot of turbulence on the flight, so I turned off my audiobook to concentrate more. 🤣

First announcement on the flight, “Our computer just froze, so we need to restart the entire airplane.” This is not doing anything to help my anxiety. 🙃

Well, I spent all day today debating canceling my flight and taking a train. I finally decided on the train. I then went to cancel my flight and realized it was too late to get a refund…so I guess I’m flying. I hate it.

On a positive note: Thanks to the extra money I've made on social media, my mom needed a new phone and I was able to just go online and buy her one (and add her to my plan). It might not be a house, but it felt really good.

I am going to a conference soon and am genuinely considering a 17-hour train ride at 4x the cost over a 2-hour plane ride.
