Oh. Oh! So in those other places, "Bite" isn't just an action that can be used as a move, it's something with special energy? I can see how that can kinda work. Where I am, moves like bite and roar don't have some super special energy, it's all about the force and effort used.

How does only four moves even work in those worlds though? If you want your growlithe to stop knowing bite, does it stop knowing how to eat? Or is bite permanent and you just have to figure out how to work with that with the other three moves? It's all really freaky to think about!

((I personally play by manga/anime rules with regards to pokemon having more than four moves, but make the in-game 4 moves as a limit is a type of ruleset, but I LOVE to introduce my unfamiliar with the greater multiverse muses to trying to comprehend when something runs by game logic.))

Are there really places where pokemon can only know four moves...? What happens if you make your growlithe forget bite or something? Can it just not eat anymore? Or does it forget how to actually bite people? Or is bite one of its permanent moves you can't remove? ... That's such a freaky thought.
