One of my favorites to keep, the largest of what I currently keep is my girl Dino, a popa spurca/“african twig mantis”. Popa are just wonderful darlings, utter freaks as nymphs, good eaters, and hilariously nosey individuals.

I've watched art community collapse after art community collapse and I wish I had the ability to just go to a space that wasn't a fan-space for one artist and just post my stupid OC art and see others. I'm relying on that joy to keep the spirits up.

Upcoming guidelines are an absolute Tumblr-level headache but now with muddled rules that will likely be unevenly applied. This has been an exhausting year and we're only at about the 3/4ths mark.

Warring with my sister over the family computer, and later when we each had a small computer (teens) - the second phone line for dial up. We also had a LAN connector for the computers. And you had to make due with the games you had because you were often ordering from a magazine. Like mail-in.

1. I learned a huge amount of history and ways to find references and improve my process. From courses I took outside my major, I learned a lot about needing to reign in my ideas and try to focus them. I still tend to go overboard and have to essentially edit one way or another. (VCU Arts)

Went to school for art, ended up in an IT niche that I love - which is also prone to regular layoffs every 2-3 years affecting me. I'm used to it. I am getting some of the last of all my planning steps together to put one of my stories out there as a sort of self-stability though.
