I had miso ramen. I have been going to miso ramen restaurants since I was a child. That's why I still like miso ramen. Very thick miso ramen is very salty and may be bad for you. But it is delicious and I can't stop eating it!

I had a sardine bowl. Sardine tempura on rice with sweet and salty sauce. Strange as it may seem, Japanese otaku enjoy going out with stuffed toys of their favourite characters. They then take photos with the food and scenery. This is called 'nuidori'.

I had a set meal of amberjack rice bowl, tempura and udon noodles. So much food in one set for only 1,300 yen. (about US$9.5) This restaurant is very good value for money.

I am here again. To see an exhibition of fiction/anime works that I loved so much when I was a teenager. This work, Slayers, is celebrating its 35th anniversary. The audio guide with the voice actors from the anime was a lot of fun and took me back to the old days!

I was sad that I hadn't received any postcards recently, but I just looked in my mailbox and found 11 postcards that had been bundled together! They are all lovely!

I went to a souvenir shop near the Imperial Palace. I went looking for postcards, but there were none. Too bad I went there sweating like a waterfall. Postcards of the royal family are not sold in Japan. I think there is still an old mindset that it is impolite to use the Emperor's picture lightly.

We stopped at the Botanical Gardens souvenir shop on our drive. This is a botanical garden with beautiful wisteria. Many foreigners seem to visit during the good season. Because the shop had a lot of Ghibli, Sanrio and Dragon Ball products.

The Imoni Festival is being held today in Yamagata. Imoni is a taro stew flavoured with soy sauce and is a Yamagata speciality. The imoni is cooked using the biggest pot in Japan and a brand new excavator. Stirring the contents of the pot with the excavator is crazy. I went to this event last year.

This was a very dangerous place for me. I bought 30 postcards! I regret a little that I bought too many.

Wow! As soon as I entered the shop there was a pillar of postcards! And there are lots of postcards on both sides of the stairs going up to the second floor. Will I get through here in one piece...?

I came to a stationery shop called Bunbodo in Jimbocho, Tokyo. I was told that they sell a lot of postcards here. I am excited! But I have to make sure I don't buy too many.

An event called 'Chiikawa Baby' is currently taking place at Tokyo Station. When I went out of the ticket gate, there were Chiikawabies everywhere in front of me. It's a very happy space!

I had a Mame-Daifuku. This shop is one of the three famous Mame Daifuku shops in Tokyo. Mame daifuku is a Japanese sweet consisting of anko (sweet red bean paste) wrapped in a rice cake filled with beans.

I got the first day postmark for the stamps released today. The character is called "Posukuma". It is the image character of the Japanese Post Office.

Last week I bought 44 postcards. I think I bought a bit too many. But I am planning to visit a stationery shop this weekend where I am told a lot of postcards are sold! My box of postcards is already full and new postcards are piling up on my desk.

I heard on the news that there was a big catch of sardines, so I went to the sardine town of Choshi. ...but the restaurant specialising in sardine dishes had no sardines in stock. We had no choice but to go to our usual conveyor belt sushi restaurant. We ate saury, a typical autumn fish.

I love sushi. I would eat it every day if I could.

The Disney Sea 24th Anniversary postcards are really cute. I bought two sets. This blue sparkly postcard, which is my favourite, I am going to send to a friend. She used to sell popcorn at Disneyland. It's a very happy job!

I am here in Maihama, Chiba. This is the closest station to the Disney Resort. In front of the station there is a souvenir shop of the Disney Resort. This shop can be used without entering the park. I came here to buy a Disney Sea 24th Anniversary postcards.

I bought a postcard of the autumn pattern from the Tabineko series. I love this series. I often send Tabineko to cat lovers. They often like them.

I bought a post-type postcards with autumn patterns. Halloween and Tsukimi (viewing the moon) are the subjects. Post-type postcards are sold seasonally.

It is the season for pears. Pears are a speciality of Funabashi, where I live. Pears sold in department stores come in Funassyi boxes. Funassyi is the image character of Funabashi and is a pear fairy.

I had shaved ice. It is mango-flavoured! It's September and it's hot every day, like midsummer.

I bought these Halloween stickers from a 100 yen shop. I am going to use them at Postcrossing from late September. Will it be a bit cooler by then? Today's temperature is 37°C. To be honest, it still feels too early to be thinking about autumn.

Japan is hot every day. However, the supermarket shelves are gradually starting to stock more and more autumn products. Chestnut and sweet potato flavours are typical autumn sweets. I immediately bought some new autumn sweets!

This is a favourite stationery shop in Ginza, Tokyo. It is a small building, but it houses a lot of stationery. My favourite is of course the postcard section on the second floor. I buy many postcards when I come here. The name of this shop is Itoya.

I had the tempura set meal. This restaurant serves all-you-can-eat Mentaiko（spicy pollock roe). Mentaiko goes very well with rice.

This is another post that I hope will reach #Cubs fans, it's my favourite postcard. This is when my team, the Hiroshima Carp, won the championship. Seiya Suzuki is in the picture. He is a very charming guy.

Will this post reach #Cubs fans? I went to Machiya in Tokyo today to look at manhole covers. It depicts Seiya Suzuki. In June this year, manhole covers for Japanese Major Leaguers were installed in their hometowns. This is one of them.

Hello Sky Tree! Today I came to see manhole covers in a common residential area of Tokyo. It depicts my favourite professional baseball player. Recently, there are manhole covers with various coloured patterns.

I bought a Mickey and Minnie-inspired doughnut at Mister Donut. They are very cute.

Wow! There was already a Halloween section in a local stationery shop! I immediately bought some Halloween postcards. I'm happy to see a Tom and Jerry pattern.

Today I sorted through the photos I had accumulated. These are photos from our visit to see the pandas in January. These pandas went back to China in June. The zoo, where the pandas were the most popular animals, no longer has any pandas.

The picture postmark has been received. This is the postmark of the Iwami Post Office, Tottori. The summer seaside pattern is very pretty.

I had more flat ramen (tsukemen)! It looks like Italian pappardelle. The restaurant offers all-you-can-eat raw eggs and seaweed. I went to a restaurant called Nakano in Ofuna, Kanagawa, but you can get the same thing at Kaneda near Tokyo Station.

I went to Yotsukaido, Chiba, to eat ramen with thick, flat noodles. My husband and I like flat noodles for some reason. The white stuff floating in the ramen soup is fat from the back of the pig. This is called 'seabura' and is a popular type of ramen.

I am here at Sky Tree. My purpose is to buy local chiikawas at the shopping mall under the Skytree. I successfully got a cute Usagi.

I had spicy miso ramen at a restaurant called Santouka. Spicy miso ramen is a little spicy with red chilli. This restaurant is a famous ramen chain in Hokkaido.

I went to Kiddy Land in Harajuku. This shop is full of goods of various characters. Japan is on summer holiday at the moment, so there were lots of customers. I bought a Chiikawa towel and a pen.

I am unusually in Harajuku, Tokyo. The Harry Potter shop is opening soon. I am sure it will be a very popular shop.

I bought some more Daigakuimo. The shop is called Chibaya in Asakusa, Tokyo. The shop is famous for its daigakuimo.

I visited a popular bakery in Ueno, Tokyo. It is called 'Thjnk' and is housed in a renovated old private house. The bread I bought here was very tasty and I wanted to go back.

Today is Nagasaki Peace Day. Eighty years ago today, an atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. Like Hiroshima, 70,000 civilians were burnt to death. Some argue that the bomb was necessary to end the war, but Japan was already ready to surrender. It was an experiment in weaponry in the name of war.

The postmark requested by the postal service has been returned. The postmark commemorates the launch of the Moomin stamps and was stamped at a post office in Kobe, Hyogo. It says 'Moomin and Letters' in Japanese.

🕊️Happiness of eating food. 🕊️Happiness to enjoy hobbies. 🕊️Happiness to be able to watch baseball games. 🕊️Happiness to have plans for the weekend. It is built on the efforts of many people. I spent the day being thankful for the happiness that seems obvious but is not.

Today is a day of prayer for peace. 80 years ago today, an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Dropped on the city centre during commuting time, the bomb burned 140,000 innocent civilians to death. I grew up in Hiroshima and I am against war and indiscriminate killing.

This is a plush toy of the Chiikawa character 'Kurimanju' drinking alcohol. He loves drinking and is holding a 'cup sake' in his hand. Cup sake is sold in glass cups and can be easily bought at convenience stores and supermarkets.

I bought some cute stickers. I will send summer greeting postcards to my friends who like pandas. When I was a child, there was a custom of sending 'hot season greetings' postcards, but this has fallen into disuse. I also only send postcards to people who like postcards.
