Surgery is tomorrow. Just got off the phone with the vet for prep, and I'm.. incredibly anxious. Nauseated stomach, unable to focus with work, all of it. I want it done, over and her back home already so I know she's okay. I can see her, observe, and reassure myself. Waiting sucks lol

I said I'd stream today. Roxy had other plans. She's demanding all the snuggles and not letting me up unless she needs out. I'm not complaining. 💙

We're down to the final day and a half before I take Roxy in for her surgery, and I won't have her back until Wednesday afternoon. I'm not okay. She's acting fine, full of energy but me? I keep dwelling. She's 10. She's a senior. I know every last thing that can go wrong. I'm an anxious mess.

Yeah I.. I'm not gonna lie, I'm in an incredibly rage-y, dark mood and still in a lot of pain, which doesn't help. Today was just.. not good. I think I'm gonna go lay down, curl up with Roxy and get all the snuggles in before surgery day. I'll try again tomorrow for stream. I'm so sorry everyone.

Stream won't be until later this afternoon/evening, as I'm currently waiting on the auto shop to call me regarding my truck. Once again had to take it in, this time for the alternator. If I didn't have a dislocated shoulder right now, and knew where my belt tool was, I'd do it, but.. Yeah. Fun day!

No stream tonight as I'm feeling it today, between the anxiety depression and migraine. BUT! After blood work tomorrow will try to get on and stream as long as I can, work on commissions more, hopefully help keep my mind off the fact that in three days my doggo is going into surgery. 💙🧡

Sorry for my earlier post. It's deleted. Depression and PTSD over this spleen issue (lost prev dog to it rupturing) is just compounding the closer we get to surgery date. I'll be okay, promise. Once she's through it, and she's home, and biopsy comes back neg, I'll be okay. Just.. not right now.

Surgeon said she will need overnight observation, since splenectomy can (not always) cause heart arrhythmias and/or hypertension, so the full $5K is going to be needed. I'm not gonna survive Roxy's surgery, I swear. I'm gonna have to bodily lift her and continuously take her out, probably sleep either on the couch or floor with her to keep her from jumping up onto the bed.. and my hip is dislocated. Bad, it's really fuckin' painful, radiating down into my foot.

Ultrasound results are in, and vet, internist and the tech all agree it looks like a cyst or benign lesion type thing on her spleen. SO GOOD NEWS! but, with that being said, still can't rule out cancer. It can only be ruled out with surgery. We're still doing it, just waiting to hear from surgeon!

...I just realized I don't have enough wood for the winter. 🙃 And I can't afford the electric bill to run the baseboard heaters in a few rooms, or to get wood from my local guy (if he has any left), not with Roxy's surgery. Welp. my bad.

I know I promised an everyday stream after my 9-5 but I'm gonna be honest with everyone, I'm in so much pain from just doing it Monday and Tuesday. How y'all streamers can sit or stand at your rigs and do this as a full time job, for 12+ hour streams, I am in awe. I can barely move my neck or sit.✨💀

So ultrasound went well, Roxy was a total rockstar through it. Tech said it looks fluid filled, which leans more towards a benign cyst or hematoma (blood clot). Won't know definitively until we get the internist review back, but keep fingers crossed!

Off to the Vet for her pre-surgical ultrasound! Please keep your fingers crossed for Roxy, that the nodule hasn't grown!
