Looking to do a bit more posting so I'm putting this in public. I have 100 game I've wanted to (re)play/finish and I'm resolving to do a lot of this in 2025. The list is categorized below, numbered just in case I feel like rolling a D100 to see what I play. Will use this thread to catalog each.

This new FE mobile game is confoundingly bad, it's not something I can just write off. Social deduction game that can be outstatted, auto moving & attacking with abilities, a fucking auction house, only paid elements being leveling & the battlepass. Outside of the character art this game isn't real.

Friends & I were talking about Cheez-It Grips for some reason and a friend of mine said Cheez-It Gryps Conflict and I knew what had to be done.

Friend of mine has been first time playing Radiant Dawn recently and listened to our advice to use Beastfoe Rolf so I made this for her after seeing like 20 feral ones explode.

Forgot to post this but on Sunday I hit Masters in GBVSR with Eustace finally, they weren't lying Masters really is cooked if they let guys like me in there. Win rate posted as well which is somewhat deceiving because I fucked around a lot in A1 and S5 to get here.

Was talking on Eustace Cord yesterday & wanted to post this CH 2H simple side swap that someone didn’t realize you could do. Should work at most heights besides really low AAs. It’s only +29 on recovery since it isn’t a HKD, but that’s enough time to do 623U or meaty 66M. #gbvsr #gbvsr_eu

Completed another #fireemblem romhack, this time it's Dream of 5! I had to play this after the project got resurrected considering it was up there with TLP as one of the big early hacks in the romhacking sphere & overall it seems to hold up. Very little gimmicks, rooted in classic map & unit design.

Frosty Faustings was crazy good this year. 1-2 in Under Night & 0-2 in Granblue. Cow gapped me with Yuzu & I mental boomed myself in Granblue, shows I need to compete more and get better at adaptation. Feel like I could’ve gone farther & more than likely will try to next year.

Speed Racer reboot movie except it’s the Costco guys. The Rizzler gets to be Sparky.

Tragic moment from ranked grinding last night that I couldn’t help but share. Tilted me in the moment, but looking back it’s really funny & deserves a post.

Was chatting on the community Discord & we found some tech from the top Eustace that I wanted to adapt. Basic idea is any launcher ends in 2H—>623H & you can autotime a c.L then mix however you like as they’re recovering. Really nifty stuff, here’s one iteration I labbed out. #gbvsr_eu #gbvsr

Recently completed the Fire Emblem Romhack Crowns & Thrones & it’s absolutely worth a playthrough. Really solid gameplay design with fine tuned generics & static lords alongside a story that is really concise compared to a lot of its peers. Very different experience that grabs a lot from other SRPGs

Beat Godhand, genuinely one of the best games of all time & I genuinely mean it. It's in a space of its own in terms of personal skill. People compare it to Dark Souls, but Dark Souls doesn't actively taunt you for losing. This game wants to win & you're wrestling against it. Beautifully designed.

Nearing the end of my first Godhand run and it’s finally clicking. Every action is precise yet there’s a lot of improv & fluidity. It plays like a fighting game sometimes managing oki & cancelling moves while also just being so different. I understand the cult around this game now, it’s near perfect

A friend informed me that the Fire Emblem subreddit is doing an elimination game of FE games and this list baffles me. How are SD, NM, Engage, and Awakening all out before SoV? The SoV circlejerk is crazy sometimes & im impressed at how divorced it is from Gaiden when it’s the same gameplay.

Finally playing Godhand & I’m impressed at how little sexuality is in this game. Despite Olivia crawling around with her ass in the camera, enemy goons being barely dressed, and Shannon existing there is no actual sexual desire in any character. It’s impressive how Gene is distanced from sex 24/7.

More people need to play SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions. This is a real fuckers RPG, even beyond the classic SaGa formation stuff & wide roster the side stories are completely asinine. Leonard going on a journey to feed an apple tree demon blood so he can feed the local sheep is so asinine I love it.

Anyway to avoid just posting about FE I adore the new 2D Zelda bringing in a lot of classic designs. They have Pig Ganon & then the Old/New Zora next to eachother. These little guys are my shining light, I love the little freak creatures. 2D Zelda is back baby.

The amount of hype people still have for a Genealogy remake is hilarious. They’ve managed to conspiracy themselves into disappointment everytime & it only gets funnier every direct. Waiting for the Binding Blade remake announcement to make people spiral harder.

Started an FE6 Rando draft with some friends & what do you mean this is only chapter 3??? Already fighting for my life and it’s barely begun.

Fire Emblem will never have another bad bitch like Niime. She was a one of a kind lore dump, woman over 60 that shows her age, and abuser. We’re never gonna get a playable character like her that should ostensibly be in a villainous role, she’s peak fiction. Please FE18 deliver actual old women.

Watching my friend play Chapter 10 Conquest on a randomized tagteam & got inspired.

Alain has negative game when it comes to women and is only platonic with men? They made like 70% of the women lesbians what do you MEAN Alain can’t marry a man? Unicorn Overlord you can’t make Scarlett less relevant than every other character & try to make her Caeda, that doesn’t work.

Yknow I thought I was good at UO, Cornia wasn’t that bad but had a few tough spots. First mission of Elheim got me deconstructing all my squads and writing notes at work on new formations. I’m out here remaking my entire army from scratch because the game decided the tutorial was over. Loving it.

UO’s Cornia Arc outside of Scarlett being essentially a vignette of tyranny has been great. It’s fun to bounce between tragic figures co-opted into the oppressor’s position alongside those trying to abuse tyranny to help better others. Not many villainous faces, but I like the almost episodic style.

Idk how people compare Unicorn Overlord to Fire Emblem. Finally got to the demo last night & this is such a spin on Ogre Battle, but it’s also got bits from The Last Remnant and Battalion Wars. UO isn’t even phase based like FE it’s initiative based! I once again beg people to play other SRPGs.

Star Ocean’s game names go so hard for such a mediocre franchise. Till the End of Time, Integrity and Faithlessness, The Divine Force, all killer no filler. Can’t believe they just went with Second Story R for the remake, we could’ve experienced peak content.
