Regretfully, we need to push the release day of Misdecayed Demo v2 back slightly. In Misdecayed Demo v2, losing in battle now presents you with the option to retry a battle from the start to avoid losing progress, and even temporarily reduce the difficulty of the enemies, which only applies to this battle! You can also load your save file, just like before.

vivid/stasis 6.0.2.1 is now out, which fixes the remaining critical bugs in the Loose Ends Update. Along with this patch, we've also updated our modding policy to be more lenient. Thank you to everyone who was patient! We're excited to see what you make (as long as you follow the rules).

Since polymorphite's gameplay is controlled with a mouse, all of the user interfaces are designed around mouse navigation, which is an interesting new challenge to work with compared to vivid/stasis where everything was based on digital input. I think it's led me to make some of my best menus!

vivid/stasis' last content update; the Loose Ends Update; is out now on Steam. Five years of development later, this game has grown into something miraculous and something I'm grateful to be proud of, but also something I'm ready to put down and move on from. See you in our next games !

Characters in polymorphite are built with a combination of Concepts and Aspects. Concepts are equipment-style modifiers that apply non-standard effects to your characters that activate during rhythm gameplay. Materializing Concepts requires Modules, which are earned from clearing songs!

In vivid/stasis 6.2, PSYCHO-BOMB by Raphlesia will be added to the Chapter 6 Node Flowchart to replace a song which was removed from the game. Players who unlocked the nodes prior to their previous removal will have the song unlocked without having to use Batteries.

Akina Choraku ~ Rhythm Legend Turned Mafia Queenpin This character was designed by our illustrator Softy in collaboration with the winning duo from our DUOSTORM ASCENSIA tournament, Kaiden Mafia! It will be unlockable as a menu portrait in vivid/stasis 6.2. (This character is non-canon.)

Our last content update for vivid/stasis draws near! While the game won't be going anywhere, we're no longer developing new content for it following the update on May 16th, 2026. This update adds 3 songs (one currently unrevealed) to the song shop, and 1 song to the Chapter 6 flowchart.

vivid/stasis version 6.1.1 is out now on Steam. This update fixes most bugs introduced in 6.1.0 and tweaks the charts for reFract::dense slightly.

Work continues on updating Misdecayed to RPG Maker MV. Along with engine changes, this revised version of the demo will contain some gameplay changes, like EP being shared between the party, and more. Please wait to see more when we resume development progress updates this summer!

when i went to assign difficulty ratings to stellaris' charts for this song i actually dropped combo in the chorus on sightread because i subconsciously played to the vocal rhythm of s***** & c**** instead of the actual melody of the song
