#AwesomeCharacters Lapis is quite jovial. He really doesn't have any skin in the game. He's just a big fan of Hailey and supports her as, well, potentially the next Queen of Lin J'Roe. He's lighthearted but very violent and powerful, making him unintentionally scary sometimes. (1/2)

#Marchworldbuilders I guess I build it up to flesh out my story universe. It's a long series, so I like to fill in the empty space and cracks with as many fun little lore bits as possible. It's not always entirely cohesive but I love the world I'm building and the many books that take place in it.

##QueerPrompts I'm generally pretty introverted. I can write an introverted character fine. But what I love is writing extroverted characters, because they're not shackled by my personal limitations. I can let them be free and infuse them with a really big personality.

I promise there are no politics in my book about a trans high schooler coming to grips with her sexuality as imposing figures of power in her life try to coerce her to walk the path they want, for their own gain, only for her to turn around and take a stand, doing what she wants instead.

#QueerWritersChat! Very! I drew comics starting in around the first grade into my teens. My second WIP features many of the characters from those very same comics reimagined by my adult self. Their wars are lost, the heroes disbanded, washed up. But some shiny new characters help 'em out!

#QueerWritersChat! Rather traumatic. Hailey's father didn't accept her feminine side. He tragically died in a way Hailey blames herself for, but his death led her into the office of a therapist who put her on the path toward embracing her true self. Didn't make many friends at school, either.

#WIPSnips In this scene, Hailey and her companions are approaching the first milestone of their quest: a place called Hillcrest Asylum nestled in the swampy region of Lin J'Roe known as Chalan Rysp. It's mildly spooky there. Also, Lysander says a line. He's the snake of Hailey's Chimera buddy.

#WritingPrompt The humor. I think the way I build and interweave in jokes is a lot of fun, and Hailey's voice in general is by far my strongest narration ever. As far as arcs go, when Lapis joins the main cast. His dynamic with Hailey is just great.
