Brian Keefe, asked by @JoshuaBRobbins if he will make changes to the rotation to make a point that the Wiz need to hit their standard: "The problem is we've been actually reaching that ... lately. And tonight we had a step back. We [have] to re-evaluate what we're doing."

Wizards lose, 146-101, to the Celtics. Second-most points they've given up in a game. Tied for fifth-worst loss in franchise history, most they've trailed in a game this season. Keefe: "That was not up to our standard tonight."

Celtics are up 127-91 and there's still 8:14 left to play. The 36-point deficit is tied for the worst the Wizards have faced all season. This was a 7 point game at the half. How'd it get here? Celtics are shooting 65.6 percent in the second half.

That's two possessions in a row that the Wizards transition D has been poor after a made basket. First got Vuk on a cross-match with Simons, he sort of intnl fouled him and sent him to the line. Second was a kickahead to Scheierman for a layup.

Wizards turning ball over but otherwise a solid first quarter, they end it down 32-26 to the Jaylen Brown-less Celtics. Derrick White with 12 for Boston. Kyshawn with 8 for the Wiz.

Bit late to this, was tied up in interviews (đź‘€), but Jamir Watkins in the starting five? I am intrigued. Potential spacing concerns but, from the little we've seen, a wildly impactful from defender Starts alongside CJ, Khris, Bagley and George.

More info on Bilal Coulibaly's injury, no timeline given by Wizards: - Looks like it happens on this play early in the 3rd quarter, can see him grab the oblique at the end. He played about 9 more min. - Recovery times can vary a lot for this injury but expect a multi-week absence

Back-to-back wins remain out of reach for the Wizards in Philadelphia
Washington trailed by just five points early in the second half before the wheels fell off and the 76ers grew their lead to 36 in a 121-102 win.

Brian Keefe slowly shaking his head as he and coaches convene during this timeout. Wizards started the quarter on a 7-0 run and got within five points but it's been all Philly since. 33-12 run gives the 76ers a 99-73 lead with 1:16 left in the frame.

At the half, Wizards trail the 76ers 66-54. Washington shot just 6/23 from three that frame while Philly went 9/21. Wiz shooting 37.5 percent from field overall. Justin Champagnie leads Washington with 13p. Maxey has 15 for Philly.

Unbelievable scram switches by Philadelphia on some of these recent possessions. Wiping away mismatches.

Three-play sequence - Drives inside, puts defender in jail and gets pass to center - Whips a bounce bass to Vuk who kicks out to Riley - Good pace in PNR, hits short middy off the glass. Looks more comfortable by far.

The Wizards waived him after he shoplifted, and now he’s an emerging talent
Washington could use players like Ryan Rollins, who is enjoying a breakout season with the Bucks two years after his time in D.C. ended ignominiously.

Coulibaly: “Basically this morning they just told me you can do whatever you want, but just stop [Giannis], so I did whatever I wanted. … When the screens were high, I just was trying to go under. Sometimes I was acting like I was about to go under but I was pressing him (1/2)

Keefe: "Kyshawn didn’t have one of his better offensive games. He would be the first to admit that. But what he did late in that game showed unbelievable growth. He made some of those great dump-off passes, got in the paint ... He kept the scoreboard moving for us in the crunch.”

Keefe on Bilal: "His imprint on the game, all over the palce defensively ... made the big play late, but he did it from the very beginning." Notes that the Wizards grinded that game out despite shooting poorly from three early.

Was not the best game for Bilal Coulibaly but the Wizards forward battled Giannis all damn night long. Threatened to steal every entry pass and did so to seal the game, stealing it and going coast to coast for an and one. Wizards win for the third time this year, 129-126, over the Bucks.

CJ McCollum is incandescent of late. Just hit a three to put the Wizards up four with 14.4 seconds left. Has 28 points on 11/21 shooting tonight. Wiz up 127-123.

Really good third quarter for the Wizards, who trail the Bucks 94-91. Finally hit some threes in the frame and Marvin Bagley was a beast inside. Two offensive rebounds and 10 points in the quarter.

This has been a pretty solid effort for the Wizards tonight. Down 83-77 with about 4 min left in the third quarter despite shooting 20 percent from three (Milwaukee is at 55.6%). Wiz winning possession battle (more rebounds, less TOs and more FGAs).

Couldn't get a video of it but the Wizards just had a vide on the jumbotron with AJ Johnson's teammates wishing him happy birthday. They then cut to the court, where some Wizards mobbed AJ.

That's the kind of foul Kyshawn needs to avoid moving forward. Giannis won that play, don't compound your error with a desperate swipe.
