Looking at Tiara and then back to the patch of grass she was resting in, a finger points to the outline of her body in the grass. It’s so deeply worn in that the implication is clear — she had slept in that same spot night after night. Now looking at the scepter, Cinder tilts her head curiously.

Incredibly grateful to him for putting out her fire before it / had / harmed anybody, Cinder’s expression brightens. Nodding feverishly, she reaches out a hand for him to shake. Her fire won’t burn him — her hand’s warm, but poses no threat. Not to someone she’s so thankful for.

Satisfied by the way his entire face seems to flush, her eyes close, the mouth that had just been peppering kisses all over his cheek shut in a proud smile. Perhaps just as silly, joining the steam are heart shaped tendrils of smoke floating around them.

Nose twitching at the scent of smoke rising into the air, Cinder startles, but does not completely wake. It is the sound of Silver’s voice as the fire she’d accidentally started is extinguished that finally snaps her eyes open. Eyes as deep blue as her body widen at the sight of burnt grass, &&

Slowly coming to the sound of a voice, one deep and calm, Cinder blinks herself awake. It is not the first time a curious visitor has disrupted her slumber, and she doubts it will be the last. Standing to meet his level, Cinder nods. A mouth forms on her muzzle, a polite small smile following.

Startled awake by the scepter poking at her, Cinder looks up at Tiara, eyes lowered skeptically. She had been fine — it was a nice nap she was taking, and now she’s been startled awake. Nonetheless, the other cat seems harmless. Nodding wordlessly at her visitor.

( Eyes crinkling in sudden determination, she does her best to mimic what Rush just had, moving her mouth in a way she hopes is similar. ) . . Cute. ( Offering him the closest thing to a compliment she can, she kisses his cheek — something he’d taught her. )

As if sensing the wielder of something far more cold than she, both eyes dart open, Cinder crouching quickly. A being of flames, a fear of water is something that cannot be helped, but once she realizes Rio poses no threat, she stands up slowly. “ . . ? “ Sending the other a questioning look.

/ cinder is mute… for the most part. she’s always been the silent protector type, and now that she’s actually beginning to live her own life, she’s just beginning to learn how to talk.
