I got really excited for the AK PC client coming out on the 13th that I somehow missed the fact that it was coming out on thr 13th __of next month__ The war against the rats that eat my frames continues.

It's always a little funny when I scroll VGen and on the recommended feed I see a commission for one of my friends. Today marks the day I saw one of my own commissions, and I found it hilarious.

As someone who's been running Minos in Arknights for years now, I firmly stood by the idea that 'Minos needed 1 more op, literally anyone.' Varkáris is very redundant as the 4th guard, but on top of being good in his own right, not needing to always plan 10s ahead for Conviction is a blessing.

I'm usually not one to react strongly to game industry streams and the recent Nintendo Direct wasn't an exception, but the reveal of FFXIV has left me really confused for no apparent reason. That and the fact that Touhou 6 is getting a remake, except that one was only on the JP stream.

I finally gave 'the new worst Arknights EP' on CN a listen and aside from one detrimental issue, I kinda like it. When something like 'Towards Her Light' mentions game references it works well because the song is designed for it. When 'The After' does it it's odd but barely passable. This is worse.

Since yesterday I've been on a bit of a Touhou kick and if there's one thing I wished other franchises would copy it's the act of giving most characters some interesting headwear. Everyone looks so much better when they all have silly hats.

TIL Silverash the Rutabega and Exusiai the Nectarine have a very specific neutral synergy. Exu can only redeploy on operator on the current hotbar, so Silverash's sorting can mess with her ability to do so, either letting you choose between 2 people to redeploy or accidentally redeploying no one.

I get that the hotbar sorting is required to make Silvarash the Rutabega work but my mind has trouble processing operators in between tactical equipment. Arknights 2026 is really something.

Even as someone who's brought gloves to an arcade tap rhythm game, I always wondered why others did it. Is it a sanitary thing since many people touch them or is it a courtesy thing to keep them clean? Turns out it's because with harder songs, you can burn your fingers with too much sliding.

Got around to giving maimai a shot. It's a comfy, straightforward arcade rhythm game but the main draw is that it has a lot of social features encouraging people near you to join in. It's quite fun and you bet I'm gonna find excuses to drag friends to the arcade now.

It is only now occurring to me that Matsukiri forces you to consider which operator you're borrowing. The borrowed operator is always right-most, so he reduces their cost instead of whoever costs the most.

Wrapped up the current Duet Night Abyss story and booted up Endfield again. There's a very clear difference in quality, but I would be lying if I said I didn't hold any feelings for DNA. At some point, it stops being about which is better or worse and more just how much you enjoy the thing. Cherish.
