Hi #portfolioday I've definitely been super inactive lately, but have every intention to make more Anaether-related art and keep sharing with you guys. I'm just burnt-out from not having a nanny for the baby yet. Once I do, I think I'll be able to get back into the flow of things.

I thought I'd share a WIP redraw of an old illustration. I think rewiring my brain is actually kind of working. It's mostly about repeatedly interrupting demoralizing internal dialogue and incorporating new healthy habits, including encouraging thoughts. Hope you guys are all doing well.

Hello #portfolioday I'm Lizbeth and trying to rewire my brain around making artwork for myself, which feels nearly impossible these days compared to making art for my students. I've been playing video games for hours a day while watching my newborn son. Trying to be kind to myself despite artblock.

An even older piece of Vas from 2015. Basically another iteration of their design.

Really old piece, before I knew how to deal with muddy colors. Vas holding a ghostly form of Syf. I'm not entirely sure what her "true" form even is at this point, as far as canonical story stuff.

It's actually a huge relief to be able to tell myself that I don't have to put in much detail at all in the backgrounds of my comic pages. Less work for me, and hopefully better-paced releases of content for you guys.

Scaling down on the level of detail for comic pages is so difficult for me. But if I can manage that, this story would get out to you guys so much more quickly. I guess I'm still prototyping my comic pages. I did finish another page yesterday for the first time since 2023, so that's something.

lol I've been having such a busy year and was pregnant for most of it I just realized anaether.net is now owned by someone else who isn't even really using it. I totally forgot to renew the domain months ago. I'm not sure what to do next but I'm thinking.

I felt like smoothing out this animation a bit. Animated in Krita. Vas is nonbinary/androgyne, Tommy is male. Actually I'm not sure if it's Semeon or Tommy. Long story with this character lol.

Finally completed this piece. I can't remember the last time I completed a painting of Vas. I think I had a ton of art block for the past year or two, but I might be coming out of it right now. Meh, I'll just take things as they come.

here's some doodly action animation thingy with Vas. I'll probably kinda refine it over time... I might get into a flow state with this project, but I'm betting not. I'll likely explore more on the way Vas moves through animation.

I totally wanted to do Artfight this year and even make up for the attacks I didn't get to last year... but I ended up going into labor like 3 weeks early. Long story short, the baby is just over a week old now, healthy and I'm getting used to be tired all the time lol.

Been feeling pretty art-blocked lately. I think this year for me, especially with how it's basically booked up by this pregnancy and baby plans... among other things... will just be whatever artwork I can scrape up from the bit of energy I have these days. Thanks for your continued support.

Tommy kissing Vas. I guess the main distinction with Tommy vs. Semeon is that Tommy wears glasses, has a bit more cleaned-up facial hair and has brown hair instead of black. Meh, I'm just feeling more Vas x Tommy these days instead of Vas x Semeon. Though Sem makes more appearances in the story.

Vas (rhymes with "gravitas") is a nonbinary/androgyne cybernetic alien with organic and some psionic properties. They have a stoic demeanor and they're a skilled sniper, computer hacker and spacecraft pilot.
