Hear me out — If parents call colleges freaked about their FAFSA data being leaked, schools may have to issue statements — which would reach a whole lot more families about how warped this is. Organizing isn’t always calling electeds. Sometimes it’s just calling people with a bigger megaphone.

Fanning the collective freak out is helpful. People are looking around for social cues about how big a deal this all is. Forcing big institutions to amplify the story that none of this is normal helps.

What on earth is this graphic? Allegedly giving people a chance to learn more about themselves, whilst offering stigmatising outdated language & ideas, & throwing in stuff that is not related to autism. Quick thread/

"Depression" is not a normal part of autism diagnosis. "Anxiety " isn't either. "Abnormal posture" How rude. Again, not part of an autism dx. "Fixation" I wonder if they misspelled 'Deep focus on specialist interests, often leading to a good career or other useful skills'.../

"Flat speech" Not part of an autism diagnosis, though may be true of some. "Poor eye contact" Poor? Again, how rude. Many cultures do not use eye contact the same as the white Westernised world. Autistic people don't either. How much eye contact are you using right now, here? Think about it./

The 'fixation' with eye contact is a sign of ppl who cannot believe it's possible to communicate well without it. Yet, here we are. "Tics" are not part of autism. That's Tourette Syndrome etc. "Aggression" is not part of autism, though any human being driven to grave distress may become so/
