The committee didn't screw BYU out of a playoff spot - they did change their own guidelines to manipulate the rankings. BYU was the sacrificial lamb to those guidelines. Truth is, the committee elevated Miami so that the ACC, which is heavily partnered with ESPN, wouldn't be left out. That's it.

Well it's good to know that no matter how well Utah did in these last two weeks, there was zero chance they were making the playoffs.

Utah's two best wins this season are a combined 15-10. The Sun Devils never recovered from losing Leavitt and Cincinnati was a total fraud.
