Both faculty and students alike see the great potential that #genai can provide to simplifying the complexities of tasks and jobs in everyday and career life, while at the same time very weary and worried of the overuse and ease at which this tool can be used to spread misinformation. #cms120

Maya, Aisha, and Marland all view Gen. AI as an extremely useful too l that is essential to their studying; using it as a means to format notes and create questions to study. They mentioned difficulty and concern with factuality, and oftentimes find themselves double-checking their notes. #cms120

Kevin L. worries that in islamic circles, where oftentimes information is relied upon by scholars, that gen ai could be used to mimic the voice of a scholar and provide misinformation on what may be okay and what’s not. #cms120
