Today marks a big anniversary for #IGPX - the 20th anniversary of the first US broadcast on #Toonami. The second episode also aired on this day 20 years ago, (November 5) and that really hooked me into the series. I don't think it's an exaggeration that to say it was a life-changing day for me.

On October 5th, 2005, 20 years ago today, the first episode of #IGPX aired in Japan for the first time on TV Asahi. I made this post simply to commemorate the 20th anniversary of IGPX, and I'll be back for the anniversary of the US premiere in a month! (new YT video coming before then!!)

I was going through the long list of Emmy nominations (mostly looking for Andor stuff) and was pleasantly surprised to see #Lazarus was nominated for its opening theme. Way to go! (the award is, "outstanding original main title theme music".)

Just finished watching the Japanese premiere of #Lazarus. Wow, what a banger of a first episode. And the Japanese voice acting was top notch, especially Axel's voice. The actor is Mamoru Miyano, the same guy who played Light from Death Note. Can't wait for more episodes (and to watch it in English)

A premiere for the 1st episode of #Lazarus was held a few weeks ago in Japan. By total coincidence, I started watching a series recently that happens to have been directed by Shinichiro Watanabe: "Kids on the Slope". I was like, "That name sounds familiar..." Found out the company, MAPPA, also made #Lazarus (along with Sola). Makes me more excited for the premiere next week!

I was combing through the original #IGPX Japanese DVD pamphlets (off which the action reports are based) and came across this image in the section for screenshots for "pit garages", different from the final version used in the show. There also appears to be a Satomi mech just lying on the ground 🫥

I loved "Digimon: The Movie". Now everyone can watch the original three movies with a brand new English dub with the original actors. Still can't believe they pulled that off! Can't wait for my copy to arrive! And, yes, it's also available on Amazon and other outlets!
