What I didn’t know until a few years ago is that it’s Pete’s majestic voice booming out the intro to ELP’s fantastic 1974 live album, Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends…Ladies and Gentleman Emerson, Lake & Palmerrrr!! And away they go clattering through the set opener Hoedown.

Back then Yes albums just seemed to come and go without making much impression on me. This is much better than I remember.

It's so sad to hear of the death of Rick Davies who died on Saturday. I did my first big support tour with Supertramp in 1975. All of the band Rick, Roger, John, Bob, Dougie were so nice to me. Thanks to all of the band for giving me such great memories.   RIP Rick.  https://tinyurl.com/yn26rhc8
