Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Tarkus - 1971 The album cover was designed by Scottish artist William Neal. The Armadillo-tank character started as a doodle. Later on Neal was asked to submit ideas for the new album of ELP. The former doodle came to live when Neal put tanks tracks on the little creature.

Scott very much revered these days, rightly so of course. There’s an element of his records that makes me think immediately of BBC Saturday evening variety shows in the late 60s/early 70s. No bad thing. Takes me back to when I was little and my mum and dad would’ve been in their late 30s early 40s.

52 years ago today Cockney Rebel recorded the song, Psychomodo. There can be little doubt Morrissey took note of Steve Harley's lyrical style. (NB: Harley had previously penned the song "My Only Vice Is The Fantastic Prices I Charge For Being Eaten Alive" which couldn't be more Moz)
