I wonder if anything can be psychoanalyzed from the fact that I can enjoy the weirdest, noisiest, most annoying sounds under the sun when they're made by instruments but am incredibly picky about human vocals and can't stand a lot of singers' voices

Unbeatable feels like the poster child for the kind of game that releases as a like 7.5/10 and then gets a v2.0/director's cut version a year or so later that boosts it to a 10/10 Incredible heart and soul housed in SUCH a janky body. I've gotten soft-locked in episode 4 due to bugs twice.

I was pretty excited for Demonschool and its gameplay, visuals, and music are all great, but man... it's writing is really not landing for me thus far. It feels like it's trying really hard to avoid the bloat of Persona series but has overcorrected and now nothing gets any space to breathe

I am so delighted by The First Sinner... My favorite boss fight in Silksong has an even wilder, faster paced V2.0? And she's wearing a PRETTY DRESS IN IT?

There are a lot of funny mean-ass tricks that team cherry plays on you in Silksong, but I think the one that feels the evilest to me thus far is that you can accidentally destroy the lights that keep you from freezing to death on Mt. Fay

A line I see a lot that I really hate: "Video games are supposed to be fun". What a lame, reductive way of looking at any medium. SOME games are meant to be fun. Some are meant to be impactful, or challenging, or scary, or thoughtful. If any medium ever only had one point it would be a bad medium.
