Don't like all these monstrous villain reinventions but the stuff with Gordon and pennyworth and the good guys is really good. I'm sticking around till the end but I can see why folks don't love it

Cool concept - slice of life setup - guy gets stressed and falls asleep at the most inoppertune moments - what happened to the the girl of his dreams?

All the action figures are back in the toy box - not sure I get all the deus ex machina shenanigans but a satisfying enough ending - on to the “Next Level”

Pretty much a procedural crime drama with a maul cameo tacked on - enjoyed it though - we’ll see what issue two has to offer

It’s an incredibly well done comic series - it’s also super depressing - y’all definitely should read it but just know that going in

Well the joker did not disappoint - can’t say I remember how we got to this version of him - but that was pretty cool

Dang Samantha - didn’t see that craziness coming - another top notch volume of the series - great book

The Lion storyline finished up nicely - we get to close the loop on the Bruce Wayne connection full circle and cure the no fear gas before Gotham riots went out of control

Really cool comic from David Lapham lots of characters in a small town with corruption crime and a bridge collapse full of murders to solve

Yeah it’s a little wacky and it’s a little silly but it’s one and done stories and more supernatural universe so I can’t quit it

Vertigo relaunch is 3 for 3 -this one is gritty ex-cop turned PI crime noir so I knew I was gonna like it - add in some Indiana Jones archeology and a missing artifact and I am in

If you are on the fence about eating red meat vs vegetarianism this might put you over the edge-a little depressing and some unnecessary non-translated pages <creators please stop doing that, translation brackets work!> anyway this book could be related to Ice Cream Man in spirit

Another volume finishes up and although we lost Nightwing prime perhaps (I hope) we will see this great new character again -like most books that are written for the trade this one was decompressed and 3 issues would have told a tighter story than 6 but overall it was good read

This thing started strong, had some definite high points, meandered a pit in the second half but then finished strong and stuck the landing - it will be a nice omnibus collection and was a fun trip back to the ultimate U - now let’s put it away and focus on fixing ASM 616

Hired gun (kinda dumb, bit of an asshole) robs the wrong house and must vanish and go on the run to his estranged father and childhood home - plot and characters feel a little familiar but another vertigo good read

it’s the purge meets March madness and we are down to the final 4 or maybe 3 depending on a rule violation

I had to check this out - part muppets part crime noir - mostly silly but I didn’t hate it

issue after issue Absolute Batman is just going to introduce every Batman rogue with an absolute twist and never actually solve a crime or catch a criminal

Poor sue - she goes through quite a lot of misery in this issue - not quite as good as the done and one stories we’ve been getting- this is written for the trade - but heck yeah great FF

Been meaning to read this one, first issue didn’t grab me when it first came out but I’ve heard good things and gave it another go - volume one is the first seven issues of the series and it’s a pretty great read mixing historical and fictional characters as only comics can

Ahhh pink Kryptonite bests our supergirl so it’s up to Lena to come to the rescue and make amends for her party foul last issue

Quiet man storyline finished well and was a mighty fine read in total - my tiniest of quibbles is referring to Gotham in the feminine - Metropolis sure but Gotham it’s a violent cesspool so probably a dude

Great to have the vertigo imprint back and this first one is a good one - zombie tale from the undead perspective - really solid first issue and I can’t wait to see what’s next

This event has some fun twist and turns - hate the tournament winner - and it didn’t quite finish up the story so I guess I come back for king omega issue to see what happens

Enjoyed the reboot - Marc is crazy but what else is new - more moon knight so I’ll take it

Barry turns his best friend into a dinosaur and has to rescue his school crush from a museum field trip kidnapping

Tony has to go after AIM who are kidnapping his handpicked protégés- Good start to a new volume - kept my interest and made me want to read the next issue

Giving us a one shot to keep us docile until the next bug wars volume returns - I know this - I wouldn’t last a day as a bug - this is some violent existence

Robin 100% correct - there is no difference between the quiet man and Batman and the guys he’s going vigilante on are the worst of the worst - got a feeling I am on the wrong side of how this will shake out next issue

Another blind spot rectified - I’ve heard good things about Planetary for years and really enjoyed the first trade - got a x-files feel to it

FF gets sent to the planet of the apes without their powers and stand trial for crimes against apekind - it doesn’t go well and doom makes an appearance

The aftermath of blowing his cover with Annika has little fallout so far - the commissioner savage video gets to bullock so maybe something can be done about his corruption - guess this end the first trade of the new volume

I vaguely remember watching this cartoon in elementary school - the book jogged a few memories of the characters for me - fun but don’t think I need to read another

A self contained story how novel from the big two - BC gets summoned to court and needs a lawyer like Matt Murdock to defender her - too bad the fix is in - will her luck run out or save her (and MM) once more from imminent death

Our diving bell wearing villain drains all spider noirs powers and leaves him just normal like the rest of us - Gwen won’t stop looking for the real person behind the spidey mask - is she out for revenge for her fathers death?

Some unforeseen kandor science council shenanigans means Lesla Lar shrinks and has to be sent back home - straight out of the silver age and a bit wacky

Really inventive origin for Leo our villain - so now we know where he came from and how he got here but can Batman stop him before it’s too late

Batman uses the talisman (already? he just got it) and summons Wonder Woman to help Waylon by battling a cyclops for an artifact in a purgatory of sorts - hope it was all worth it

Pretty uneventful filler issue

Wasnt sure about this at first but the second issue was pretty good - I should always trust in Black Label - they are always solid reads

New volume - Sam spots a cold case that brings up a serial he and twitch thought was closed - now they work to fight the department corruption and their own demons to find out the truth
