New Pen Day! Saturday I got my pre-ordered Pilot Custom 74 Lavender Fog with a Soft Fine Med nib. Pic 1 shows some of the inks I dip tested with it. Pic two shows the Lavender Fog with Sailor’s Winter Sky from a few years go. They are very close in hue but have VERY different nibs #fountainpen

Saturday Sampling - Marvelous Magentas! These are my favorite Magenta inks. Some lean more red/warm, some lean more blue/purple. All are rich and vibrant, which means they look great in any nib, IMO. Are there any other must-try magentas I have missed? #fountainpen

Saturday Sampling - today I am featuring the lovely Montblanc Homage to August Renoir Bleu Outremer, which means Ultramarine Blue. This ink isn’t really an ultramarine, but rather a gorgeous blue/lavender faded hydrangea color. Swipe for a comparison with some other blurples and muted blurples.

Day 28 of #30inks30days - the ink is Tundra from the 2024 Diamine Inkvent Black. A quick abstract consisting of a water wash with ink drops for a neutral with cool chroma. For the water and the ink name I used a brush today, not a fountain pen. Yu-Sari paper because I like how the chroma looks on it

Monday Match and Day 15 of #30inks30days with @inkjournal - Ink: Diamine Forest Gateau from last year’s Inkvent. The only scented Inkvent ink I have ever liked. It performs well and doesn’t feather all over. The muted plummy hue is a great match for my Model J Blackberry Ebonite.
