Might be a hot take, but I think part of the problem with the One Punch Man discourse is that the first season set too high expectations for what was to follow in story. Like yeah, the direction and animation of the latest season is not good to say the least, but the story doesn't call for it.

I've played 9 games this year, 10 if you include my continued playing of FGO. Only 3 of which actually came out this year. But yeah, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is easily my GOTY. Which is saying something for me considering Monster Hunter Wilds also came out this year.

Stellar Blade Platinum Trophy obtained! Had a lot of fun with the combat and all that time spent parrying in Expedition 33 really paid off with the combat in this game. Also much time was spent playing around with Photo Mode, particularly with Boss Challenges

Really hoping Mikarin is actually the end game for 2.5 Dimensional Seduction. Like it feels obvious that she should win despite Lilysa being the main girl, but she's also the childhood friend... In a story self-aware that the childhood friend often loses.

Ya know, the Sibyl System from Psycho-Pass was not a system we as a society were supposed to emulate. That was kinda the whole point of the series. But I swear we edge closer to it each day.

Blossom and I have both been playing Stellar Blade and it's interesting seeing our different play styles. I play very aggressively with a focus on parries (thank you Expedition 33 for training me on parry timing) while she's more focused on evasion and assassination.

If the original voice acting is not in this game, I am going to be sad and disappointed at what is otherwise great news. I would have preferred DW5 because I preferred their story mode and larger cast, but 3 was a classic, has the best OST and was my intro to the 3 Kingdoms.

Baan was good for what it was. I see what Gigguk meant when he said he had to rely a lot on show don't tell for the story due to the limited run time. I would have loved to have seen the full story he had planned unrestrained by the limitations of his wallet.
