I discovered that it's best to use "tile-based" movement for a game like Pac-Man. It's interesting how there's so many ways to fix the same issue in game development. I have no idea how that works, so I'll focus on studying that tomorrow. #indiedev #gamedev #godot

Thanks to everyone's advice, I settled on a "powerup manager"! The manager spawns powerups, listens when they're picked up, adjusts the player and HUD. Still full of placeholders but I'll take it! #indiedev #gamedev #godot

Unsure how to manage responsibility here. Got a player, a power up, and a level. Level spawns power ups, power ups notify level when picked up by player, level gives power up to player and handles HUD. Am I thinking in the right direction? 🤔 #indiedev #gamedev #godot

#gamedev is so satisfying! The mice face the direction they go to. They run away when "biting" the player. Slight shake on player collision. Player flashes on damage. It's so satisfying to see it all come together. I love this. #indiedev #godot
