A few years back a vengeful ex stole my copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Since then life has happened and couldn’t afford another. During the pandemic I started buying them back disk by disk and I spent the last 4 years searching for disk 4. Today the search has ended! Now I await its arrival!

Boyhood dream achieved! Card is a little dirty but it booted right up and I got sucked into it immediately. Using the 8bitdo pc engine controller on my new Duo and having a blast! Any game recommendations retro gaming blue sky people? I want Neutopia and Splatterhouse for sure.

Goofy moment in a retro game store today. Employees talking to each other and I hear “Switch 2 is gonna flop harder than the Wii-U”. His reason? Nintendo only is successful every other console launch and Microsoft is the best overall console. Stupid is as stupid does.

Today’s retro pick of the day just arrived in the mail. In the 90’s Jaleco released the game Yosei Monogatari Rod Land in arcades, later ports ended up on Game Boy & the NES in Europe & Japan. In 2024 Retrobit teamed up with LRG to release the game for the NA NES & here is a peek at it.

Today’s retro goodness is by @bitethechili.com w/ the game The Storied Sword! Purchased through Kickstarter, it’s a love letter to Princess Bride & Castlevania/Ninja Gaiden imo. Graphically awesome, great music and a fun story! Only downside is I wish the cart label was glossy. Buy it! #NES

The last of my Chromatic launch games I picked up throws back to the Game Boy Color or in my case the old Wiiware release. This game remains a ton of fun & I understand the GBC release has risen in value & no reason to get the LRG version when this is the superior release. Also best charm ever!

This one is intriguing. I hadn’t preordered but GameStop got 4 of 6 launch titles & this was the only Patchy Matchy so I’m diving in. From the lead animator of Paw Patrol & a host of animated Hollywood projects. Upon first boot up this may be one of the catchiest chiptunes I’ve ever heard.

To know me is to know I love old school platforming games and this right here is a fun one. Still working on the jumping mechanics and the back dash but another reason to own a Chromatic. Coolest looking cart ever and love the spotlight on the creator in the manual from @joelj.bsky.social games!

This is the system seller right here! Incredible music, great characters, the biggest instruction manual I’ve seen in a game since 1997 and as of now it’s got my full attention. Kudos to @spacebotdev.bsky.social love it so far!
