Yesterday, I went to an annual comprehensive sexual education conference (3rd year going!). I appreciate that all these people are wanting to teach accurate sex ed. But can we PLEASE start respecting kids a little more?!! They deserve privacy and autonomy just as much as the rest of us!

I didn't go march for No Kings Day. Instead I co-facilitated a workshop on Human Sexuality in Therapy. Y'all, this is the thing about multiple occupations. Sometimes you have to sidebar the sex educator so you can help therapists in training to be comfortable *using the terms their clients use*.

As a sex therapist in training, this is one of my pet peeves. Addiction in general is already a misunderstood topic; adding sex to that makes it more so. Our society is steeped in puritanical prudishness & this is why everyone, *including* adults, needs access to comprehensive inclusive sex ed.

So, I have a cat. I use "cat" lightly. See, right before the mass shooting in Maine, my cat Phedre escaped and vanished.
