I enjoyed a lengthy morning walk which took me to a village in Oxfordshire where they filmed the village scenes for the TV series (and forthcoming film) ‘Downton Abbey’. The tourists were arriving on their coach tours on a perfect autumnal day for their visit.

The anger of Beatles fans at the forthcoming release of 'Anthology 4' solely available in the four-volume collection has caused a rethink at Apple/EMI. It will now be released on its own as a double CD set for £25 - maybe cheaper by the release date of 21st November. The right decision!

I chuckled when the forecasters last night suggested a possibility of snow this morning. I dropped my car off at the garage at 8am and then began the 4-mile walk home in sunshine. One mile later it was snowing!! 🤣 So my day has started with three showers. How’s yours going? 😹

I’ve just been stuck in a traffic jam for twenty minutes in my own village behind a convoy of tractors decorated with tinsel and fairy lights. Oh, and Santa at the front. I was driving immediately behind them and all the children waved at me. I thought I was in a parallel universe! 🎅😹

I was listening to the radio this morning and the chat about snow falling in London. I sniggered as it wasn’t expect here. I got up and saw snow falling here. It has now almost gone again. Before shouting at weather forecasters, remember they can forecast the weather but cannot predict it! 😊
