Hello there. A friend of mine is trying to help his kitty get an emergency scan. If you could spare a dollar or two, it would very much help. Here are details:

Something random that's nice - if I'm outside working on my verge garden, I almost always have a person I don't know stop me and tell me they love it :)

This timeline is weird. Insane dude who said it was okay for children to be shot to support gun rights, is shot WHILE talking to someone about his shitty views on gunrights...shortly after an annoyed reporter paid bunches of witches from Etsy to curse him.

"I... think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational." Charlie Kirk, 2023 after the Nashville shooting.

Trump on why DV shouldn't be counted as crime - it ruins his made up crime stats. "And much lesser things, things that take place in the home they call crime...If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime. See? So now I can’t claim 100%."

I came out in HS in 1994. So late Gen X. And let's just say coming out in 94, AIDS made a giant imprint on the young gays then. You didn't see older gay men. There were so few 30-40 gays in the mid 90s. Everyone was older, or us younger ones.

The Australian Mothman is brightly coloured, resembling an Emperor Gum Moth. Like it's American cousin, it walks on two legs and has large eyes. The eye spots are frequently thought to be eyes at night, as they have a distinct bioluminescent glow. It flies by flouting the square-cube law.

The Dharug language has a word 'walabi', from which the word 'wallaby' has come. The walabi - Petrogale coleoptrata - is similar to the Not Deer of Appalachia. It is considerably more benign. It is herbivorous, and extended stomachs allow it to digest poor forage for survival in desolate areas.

Caregiver concern should be labelled a vital sign. We must build robust medical systems that respond quickly

The rainbow hydrakeet (Trichoglossus lernaîa) is a species of cryptid found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas. Rainbow hydrakeets with more heads commonly fight enough that they experience failure to thrive.

I've only seen a few of Everett True's outbursts now, but I like how he doesn't have time to fuck around. Panel one, injustice sighted. Panel two, body slammed.

Fairmeadow is a post-epic fantasy drama about an Orcish soldier stranded in a remote pacifist commune. Tensions rise as she learns to live among those she was sworn to fight. Come for the painstaking PNW-inspired landscapes, stay for the petty arguments 🏞️

I'm so flat about my art. I kind of hate all of it. I had a huge realisation last night - that basically I'm using it to get affirmation (someone please like meeeeee) and right now that's not only a bad idea but difficult to achieve.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 86% Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 31% Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%. As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.
