There's an optional level towards the end of "Is this seat taken" where the game suddenly shifts gears and becomes about pairing up characters for romantic dates. Unlike basically every other gimmick in the game, this never happens again.

I think, overall, I like No Sleep for Kaname Date. However. It's a story that feels afraid to commit to what it's about, when it's most important that it does so. There's a version of this game that maybe made me cry or something, but the game never even gets close in practice.

I have finished my first proper route of 100 line defense academy, discounting extended prologue shenanigans. (The one marked chapter 11, for those curious) It felt thematically appropriate as a potential ending, I see now why Kodaka said you didn't have to get all 100 if this is any indication.
