Slowly his ecstatic grin began to fade, while a single hand lightly grazed his darling naive sister's cheek lightly in a caring gesture. ❝ I wish I could promise you that—but it's just too damn exquisite to resist. >>

❝ I wouldn't dare lickity-leave your side again, certainly not after the huge favor you did for me. ❞ Peros embraces her tight as a show of gratitude prior to responding to Peppermints concerned query. >>

Peros shakes his head in protest as he rose up from the wagon to stand on visibly trembling legs beside Peppermint. Slowly the slightly older son extends an arm out to procure the flashlight from his over-cautious sisters' petite mitt and turning it off. >>

Peros remaining strength had finally diminished, his malnourished frame sluggishly descending from off Peppermint's side and onto the carpeted floor. Despite having the resemblance of a dried-up corpse, the well-mannered son retained eye contact with his sister, face-up on the pink carpet. >>

With a bit more stability than prior, the exhausted twin lifts up his pointer finger to ask his dedicated sister a more serious question. >>

❝ You really don't need to watch... ❞ Slowly the weakened twin slides over to rest against Peppermints side, pressing his lips into her cheek to show his appreciation for all she did. >>

He hums, tilting his chin upward to ponder between those two choices. A small thumb posed beneath his chin, Peros begins to thoroughly examine them both in silence. >>

❝ You haven't any idea of the strain that my already fragile underfed body is going through― If I don't indulge in a meal soon either I'll writher away or there will be severe consequences on Halloween... >>

Shrugging her off, the terrified Charlotte continues to squirm away from his consoling twin. His breathing became short and choppy on the verge of hyperventilating. >>

Once his perturbed twin asked to elaborate more on his curious condition, Peros pale, slender frame crumbled into the safety of his lap. Staining his yellow pants with bitter tears and snot. ❝ If I told you what would satisfy my hunger, you would think I'm a freak...❞ >>

Glancing down at his discarded plate through half-mast optics, he waves off Peppermint's concern with the back of his mitt while the other hand attempts to suppress his tummy's loud painful rumbling. >>

Even though Peros brought his unfinished plate in with him, it still remained as it did in the dining hall. Recently, Perosperos appetite really couldn't be appeased by any of chef Streusens mouthwatering meals. >>

Intrusively, Peros slithers an arm behind his sisters back to pry the door open. ❝ I just so happened to procure not only my own half-eaten plate but one for my precious twin sister, lickity-like a good elder brother should do. ❞ >>

While Peppermint was locked away in her room working tirelessly on her Halloween Wardrobe, Peros would eye her vacant chair beside his— longing for someone to chit chat with. Leaning his cheek in against an empty palm, the eldest sighs. >>

Shaking his head as his panicked sister zipped out the door of his private quarters in the blink of an eye, Peros swiftly yelled out to Peppermint with his impressive vocal range. >>

The self-assured eldest Charlotte tightens the hold he had upon her small mitt while his trusting amber hues remain locked with both of Peppermints eyes. Never one to stray from his role as a hospitable host. >>

Taking his sisters hand and interlocking her small mitt in his slightly lengthier digits, Peros reassures his shy twin once more. A pleasant toothless beam replaces his typical overbearing facade. >>
