finished dark souls 2 replay with the dlcs (minus the final boss of the last dlc. I still hate that shit with a burning passion) here is the updated ranking

i still have a good amount of issues with canto 9 but icl 9-49 might be my second favorite single node in the game i cant stop thinking about it

beat og ds2 yesterday and using Not Big Greatsword for once and the og changes made it a real fun experience. such a good game. scholar's great, but og ds2 ramps up quite naturally and it's just fantastic. wonder if my thoughts on the dlcs will change at all, prolly not

this replay also got me to realize that shrine of amana is actually one of the most interesting and well designed levels in the series (in og, i think scholar amana is a nothingburger) and i still do not understand the hate for it

i have come to like +r and xrd a lot more cuz of this i still suck at both but damn they are fun

bought this yesterday and nearing the end of the game now, it's so crazy to me how this version feels so natural compared to scholar's (imo quite meh) remixed enemy placements wholly recommend this version. dark souls 2 is good
