We believe teaching children about the concept of fairness, sustainability and fair trade is as important as it has ever been. Our Little Book of Fairness is a free, fun and inspiring booklet for children which introduces the concept of fair trade and sustainability in an interactive way.

The true power of the coffee sector lies in the unity of every individual within the supply chain — from producers to consumers. It is this collaboration that makes coffee a key part of the solution to equitable economic and social development.

Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership is working with Newcastle City Council to promote fair trade. To mark Fairtrade Fortnight, the Partnership invites children, between the ages of 5 and 11, to show us what fair trade means to them - whether its their favourite fruit or the farmer that grows it.

This Saturday, St. Matthew’s Church in Ponteland are hosting the “Big Brew”, an inclusive community event to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight and raise money for good causes. At the event, guests can sample delicious Fairtrade tea and coffee and find out about how Fairtrade works.

Fairtrade Fortnight is here. Starting this week and ending on Sunday 5th October, Fairtrade asks you to Do it Fair. Join us as we come together to call for fairer trade across the world and create real impact in people’s futures.

This Fairtrade Fortnight, which takes place from 22nd September until 5th October, Fairtrade invites you to 'Do it Fair' and celebrate the difference we can all make when we choose Fairtrade, together.

Capucas, a coffee co-operative working with 948 farmers in the region of Copán, Honduras, has worked inspiringly since its inception to change a nationwide narrative of poverty for its local community.

From Rwanda to Honduras, the co-operatives we support are leveraging their speciality coffee production with our support to help access flourishing coffee markets and empower farmer members with a stable income.

Coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world—but not all coffee is created equal. Speciality coffee is defined by its quality, traceability and the level of care taken at every stage of production, from farm to cup.

This summer, Shared Interest marks a season of celebration. In June, we proudly received the King’s Award for Enterprise in the Sustainable Development category, while also marking our 35th anniversary and the retirement of Shared Interest’s long-serving Managing Director, Patricia Alexander.
