I accidentally just learned in Mega Man X, you can add to the counter for getting the Hadouken capsule without all the requirements, then go and complete the requirements, come back to the Armored Armadillo stage and the capsule will be there (assuming full health). #videogames

Surprised at all the ports! But, it’s oddly missing the PS1 port of MK3, a more faithful port of the arcade than the 16-bit versions (just don’t transform into Shang Tsung, unless you need a bathroom break). The MK4 PS1 and N64 ports are also missing. Still, this collection looks 😍. #videogames

Props to Expedition 33 for causing me to tear up in such a short time in its opening, even amidst my being distracted by some minor technical limitations. It’s been forever, but I recall FFX giving me a similar impact early on, though Expedition built up to it quite well.

I played Silent Hill f sooner than expected out of mere convenience. I like Silent Hill, bought it early to support such games, and it was Horroctober. Not only did I end up loving the game, but it was unintentional prep work to appreciate my visit to Kyoto. #videogames

I love when trophies in games are obtained organically. On my second playthrough of Silent Hill f, without spoiling it, I made a deliberate choice to avoid doing a thing without the game explicitly giving me the option to do it. I was later rewarded with an in-game cutscene and trophy.#videogames

Dreading this one on my second playthrough of Silent Hill f. The design is so off-putting in the best way.

Silent Hill f New Game Plus immediately makes it more worthwhile than tradition NG+ implementations.

I love Silent Hill f and am quite close to wrapping it up. Based on how confused I am despite nearing its end, I expect replaying it will yield more answers. But man, I felt the combat frequency could be dialed down a bit. Like SH2R, by the last act I was mentally done with all the fighting.

Last night I read a cryptic message on his FB that confused me, until the news today. Ninja Gaiden on Xbox was one of the best games of 2004. I was just wearing the worn-out t-shirt of the original Ninja Gaiden that came with the game, and had been playing NG:Black just a few months ago. RIP.

At the start of a horror game, especially these days, the first encounter will almost never be an ambush. The enemy needs to have a special introduction, so as a player you’re safe from a surprise attack until then. Go ahead and look around the corners. Nothing will be there. #gamedev
