OK full confession one of my few guilty pleasures is a coffee product only available from the US. With all the tariffs on coffee etc a tin (which lasts me two weeks) has gone from $5 last year to $10 this year. Thing is the 🍊 💩 🤡 removed the tariffs this week...will we see a price drop?? HELL NO

I was watching a UK Interior design show this morning. The designers were redoing a lodge. One designer was thrilled about his gorgeous "American" blanket. Nope this is the MOST CANADIAN blanket. And even though an American company bought and destroyed the Hudson Bay Co..the blankets live on.

I've read 46 books (so far) I've crocheted about 2 dozen small to large projects I've (ok we) bought, sold and moved a home. I've spent quality time with friends and family. We have this technology in our area. Several years ago one of the first test sensors was on our property line. While it was in test stage it detected a fire 30 minutes before the first 911 call was received by our City Fire Department. Had it been live we would have seen trucks earlier. 👍

It was heartwrenching. Ironically just last week my three grandchildren (they live on acreage) were coerced into playing DING Dong Ditch in a friend's townhome complex. The homeowner came out grabbed my grandson (13) punched him. The guy has a reputation for losing his temper. Cops were called./1

Started reading a book yesterday. First time with an author who writes medical mysteries. Book is called Fatal written in 2003. I get 150 pages (of 1000) and one of the main protagonist is an antivaxxer. Author is an MD and I won't continue...read reviews and saw a lot of "stopped reading" 😡

Today would have been my mom's 96th birthday. Bittersweet day but it made me realize how lucky I am as a child of the 1950's. I grew up knowing several family members that were born in the 1800's. Realization that I've known people born in 3 different centuries. Pretty Cool if I say so.

My goodness this is so true. I think I might need to raise a flag or something. "Crochet Counting Going On" I will say getting into Amigurami is a refresher course for the multiplication tables. I told my 12 year old "don't let anyone say learning math is a waste of time". Comes in handy always.
