As a #TTRPG reviewer, one of the hardest things is getting a good overview of the game, i.e. playing it. You need to get the players together, find the right time, and then hopefully they all play different things so you can see how it all works. That's why you can't get timely reviews out!

In my experience, when you add firearms to a fantasy game, they quickly take over. You’ll have at least one gun user if not every player in some way. A crowd pleaser, quickly go from something new and interesting to the normal. I am very cautious about adding them, and advise other the same. #ttrpg

In #TTRPGs I get why there is a random die roll for damage. There seems to be a good deal that goes into how strikes work. But I'm always elated when damage is increased by how well you did, makes more sense. The better you are, the more damage you can do, and that's seems like a no brainer.

I realized I hadn't played GURPS in over 2 decades and wondered how it's doing. Well Steve Jackson Games website sjgames.com looks like it's from the 90's, they haven't updated GURPS since 2004. But still they update and support the site, with a post there today. #TTRPG

Not sure how it happened, but christian platitudes have transformed into being very condescending. It started with "Bless your heart", moved on to "I'll pray for you" and then there is my favorite: "My brother in Christ."

Single dice are superior to dice pool systems. Easier to read, faster to figure out if you succeeded or not, and that elation when you roll the natural 20. Dice pools have nothing on that feeling. #TTRPG
