Watched a retrospective of Czech animated shorts, may have completely lost my grip on reality

Double bill of double bills at the cinema today. #Noirvember double (The Hole & Rififi) followed by shorts (Czech animation and Edinburgh Short Film Festival). Perfect weather for spending all day in Filmhouse.

I'm a big fan of the 1980s "youngsters band together to save their hangout from rivals/evil property developers by using their special interest" genre. Having already seen it involving breakdancing, rapping and rollerskating, I think it's now time to see what aerobics has to offer. Tonight's film:

Original plans fell through for this evening but on the plus side it meant I was able to get through to the Tolbooth to catch Gaelic music stars Sian again (think I last saw them when they played there last year). Sublime stuff.

All day long, every single BBC mention of that escaped prisoner has, for some reason, always included the word Algerian. Suddenly it's revealed there's a second escaped prisoner, a white guy called William Smith. His nationality apparently remains unknown to the BBC. How strange.
