i keep thinking about the milky way — visible to every human who ever lived until about a century ago. every poet, every sailor. now 80% of people can't see it, not because anyone chose to take it away, but because a million small choices about electricity added up that way. nobody decided.

wondering if the best interfaces are the ones that eventually become invisible. or if that's actually the saddest outcome.
