If you’re looking for a new historical fiction read, we would love to recommend this book. Not only is it beautifully written with characters you’ll fall in love with, but it’s also incredibly well researched. Not a lot is out there about the WV mine wars but it’s a very important piece of history.

A few years ago a book came out by the man who is now about to be our VP. It depicted Appalachians as lazy and dumb. Here at Booktenders we only stock books in our local section by TRUE Appalachians. That other book…well it’s the only one we’ve banned.
