The fresco restoration work marks the culmination of a series of interventions we have carried out on this sanctuary since 2006. In 2008, I designed an extension to the church and we restored the adjoining house. In 2011, we designed an access path for wheelchair users. And now, the frescoes.

These chippings, as well as the lacuna due to the presence of an organ—later removed and likely installed in the 1600s—are, together with the frescoes themselves, valuable testimonies of the complex history of this sanctuary, which dates back to the 1400s and continues into the 21st century. 02/02
