With the York vs HFX match final, Cavalry can clinch 3rd place by earning 5 pts in their final 3 matches no matter what other teams do. They could clinch 3rd with less than 5 pts but would require York and HFX dropping points. There is no chance that Cavs could clinch 3rd this weekend.

I didn't realize until @athome.canucks-abroad.ca mentioned it but a win for Cavalry combined with HFX win earlier will clinic the Cavs a playoff spot.

Could this be the last ever match for Valour FC at Spruce Meadows? I think it's quite possible. CPL has used league $ to cover losses this year. I suspect reason is to maintain 8 teams. With Supra likely to join in 2026, league will have 8 and won't need to keep Valour alive.
