Food banks saved my mom when she was divorced in 1974. She was shamed for being a divorced woman. Somehow we never qualified for free or reduced lunch, yet we only ate cheap meat twice a week. Otherwise, hamburger helper minus the hamburger. Disgusting.

Horrifying news that continues pounding us..never anything positive. I'm glad both my parents are passed...hate being alone, but at least they don't have to deal with it.
