officially at the point in my art teaching career where i am compulsively collecting all toilet paper and paper towel tubes with no current plans to use them

just had a magical afternoon- went to orientation for my new art teaching job, walked around the corner to get an iced matcha and flesh out my calendar, then walked to the library and picked up some art books to use in my classes, all on this glorious sunny warm afternoon!!

after years of using yellow strathmore pads, i’ve slightly upgraded my watercolor paper go-to 🌈

changed my name on my socials because i used to be mostly a graphic designer who also owned a sketchbook but now i’m mostly an artist who occasionally gets hired for design projects 🤸🏻

do you ever feel your hand-eye coordination leaving your body?? i’ve made about 30 mini watercolor paintings this week and have been painting for the last 10 hours straight. by the time i finished the words “diet coke” i felt like i was using a touch screen in need of recalibration

i love taking commissions bc tbh why on earth would i paint a fly fishing fly?? i didn’t even know these existed last week but now i got to paint something colorful and fun 🌈
