The leaves themselves are staggeringly beautiful - representing through colour and shape the patterns and process of decomposition. Something of a metaphor.

Quelques Feuilles / Some Leaves New thing - this is a part of a much larger work. Each square comprises 4 of the colours of an actual leaf collected over a series of walks, and then photographed, uploaded, compiled and arranged in chronological order. The entire work has 144 leaves and 576 colours.

For me it was an eye opener as a young lead negotiator in the midst of a position speech to be insulted like this « listen here sunshine… » My male French colleague stood up and led the way out in disgust. More women need male allies to show courage & end this piggish behaviour.

Since we seem to be in travel mode, we just spent the weekend in San Giulio just by Lake Orta in northern Italy (about 90 minutes from Milan) and it was fabulous. Stunningly beautiful, amazing food, c 30% cheaper than London / Paris etc.

Now reading: Good Girl by Aria Aber This one has been on my “to read” list for a while. It cuts close to the bone emotionally (for anyone into clubbing as a late teen) although the context not mine. Extremely relatable. And beautiful use of language. #booksky 💙📚💙

For some reason I’ve started to develop anxiety before travel. I’ve been travelling constantly since I was seven (my first fly alone experience). Is it age? Whatever is triggering it, it’s not a welcome life change. Please chilled out travel self, come back!

Pro tip for flying into Doha : fly economy but invest in Al Maha arrival services. Airplane greeting, swept to lounge while your bag is collected for you, charming personalised arrival immigration services. Escorted through the airport to the taxi queue. Such a pleasant start to a busy three days!
