Environmental communicators need to replace questions about the global future with questions of immediacy. Instead of "How are we going to combat climate change?" we need to ask "What is the plan for insuring homes in Florida as sea level rise and hurricane strength make the state uninsurable?"

Instead of: "How will we address future drought" we need to ask: "What is the economic plan for the collapse of farming in the great plains during drought?"
