Tbh the term "fanservice" within the context of anime has always bothered me, cuz it always refers to sexualization of female characters, even though its supposed to have a broader meaning Like seeing my faves in different outfits would be fanservice to me

I also dont think anime and manga need constant female sexualization to be able to thrive either 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plenty of them have amazing heartfelt stories without needing to resort to that lol

Frankly if i see aggressive male gazey fanservice in an anime i just realize it is not for me and drop it, im not missing anything I'll regret not getting into lol

I dont understand the point if faye. Are we supposed to feel sorry for her? Hate her? She never changes and its like watching a bus slowly crash and burn....her ending was harsh too... It makes me feel sorry for her at the end. Why would they write a female character like this?

I guess the appeal is her tragic one sided devotion towards alm? But i cant help but think about the writers seeing the lack of female charas in alm's starting party and going "time to add more female characters for balance! Here's a pick me final boss" 😐

Art direction wise, i dont really associate the typical cutesy/moe anime look with something like fe, so engage's art style also...put me off... Like I like cute designs, but not in this type of game lol
