With prices soaring, eggs have been reported stolen from porches and farm stands. At one point, federal agents at the border were seizing eggs more often than fentanyl. Then, earlier this year, a Maryland sheriff’s office learned about a $100,000 egg heist — complete with a ransom note.

The Great Egg Heist: 280,000 eggs disappeared from America’s top producer. Then came a ransom note.
As prices skyrocketed, and egg giant Cal-Maine raked in record profits, the company was hit by one of the biggest egg thefts in history.

This is basically a rewritten press release. Would be fantastic to know how the trust is set up. I always smell machinations with big corporates...

This is progress, but whether or when the South African government will use these provisions remains to be seen.

Up to now, government has chosen a "willing buyer, willing seller" approach, paying at or even above market price. It need not do so. The Act gives some examples of cases where no or limited compensation should be paid.

All Protocol Observed Welcome to Issue 185 of The Continent France isn't having a great month. This week, its government collapsed. And last week, not one but two of its former African colonies told it to get lost. A lot of western analysts are blaming Russia. This misses the point.

Incredible. The film history itself feels like this was created by at least six producers. The writing, cinematography - pretty much everything about it - was executed to perfection. For women who have been on the verge of madness, and men witnessing it. Heart wrenching.

I will say as a Jew and a rabbi that this is a profound desecration of the holy and of history. On top of all the other atrocities and harms.
