I have a desktop computer with a cheap graphics card in it with PopOS installed that I play Steam games on. I have played "No Man's Sky" on it without issue (other than I am terrible at it). PopOS is a Linux distro that is oriented towards playing games. You can also use it as your main computer OS.

I do not use Apple or Microsoft products. I use Mint Linux as my operating system. I use LibreOffice for my writing and spreadsheet work. I use GIMP for photo/image editing. I use Brave, Firefox, and LibreWolf for my browsing on the internet. I use Thunderbird as my mail tool.

The latest is "Ashley" [@chloemarie21.bsky.social]. When I pointed out that all the chats seem to go the same way, the account blocked me.

Interestingly, all the chat contacts I've gotten through BlueSky end up being "Deleted Accounts" after a while. Every single one wants to switch to chatting on Telegram and then starts selling some crypto or trader-bot scheme.

It is the end of Cherry picking season in Brentwood California. I managed to get out there both on Wednesday and Thursday to get some "Sweetheart" cherries. I went to Sweet Lou's Orchard. Most of the other 'u-pick' orchards were closed.

Bratwurst, really, only needs a spicy mustard when you put it in a bun. Grilled onions wouldn't hurt and would enhance the flavor, but basically, all that is needed is the mustard. Now, a Louisiana Hot Link needs mayo and grilled peppers.

The perfect hamburger is mustard and ketchup on the bottom bun, then add pickles/pickled peppers, then a meat patty (cooked to medium), then a slice of Cheddar or Swiss cheese, then the grilled onions (or raw), then a couple of sweet tomato slices, iceberg lettuce, and finally mayo on the top bun.

I meant to leave a message yesterday, but got busy feeding a few hungry people. I hope that no more people get hurt, maimed, or killed in any more wars. I realize that it will require us to stop putting the fanatical, criminal, and greedy in charge of our societies.

Today I am making braised short ribs with a side of braised carrots and mashed potatoes. Yesterday I made three pies: a mock mincemeat pie, a cherry pie, and a gluten free pear-apple-raisin pie. With left over crust and an odd coconut-cherry crumble I made a bar of dark chocolate and marshmallows.

Teeth are looking pretty good here, yeah? I hope I get some new files for Xmas.

So, it turns out I've run out of Thinking Units (TU). Usually I manage to make it through then end of the year with a few left over but not this year. I am pretty sure I ran out around December 15th. You would think I would just keep checking the counter but, well, the counter broke a few years ago.

Xmas is coming up pretty quick. I really only want one thing and that is for the Russians to get the hell out of Ukraine. All of it. Oh, and for all the fascists to grow some freaking empathy.
