Just got home. Good performance and a deserved win, although a strange game in a way as Brighton could have scored about five goals. Ekitike is getting better and better. No poor performances really and thankfully it didn't look like a proper farewell from Mo at the end. Well done Arne and team. 👍❤️

It's so boring hearing Shearer droning on through these matches. He's done the best part of 20 years on MOTD, why do we have to put up with him on Prime as well? There must be loads of ex-pros out there, capable of providing some interesting/entertaining views.

On the positive side, we look much more solid than of late. There's very little creativity in the side though and we've rarely looked like scoring. Wirtz for MacAllister at half-time, please.

Sad news. An absolute colossus of British photography. Humour and humanity combined in his work. Without doubt my favourite photographer.

Maybe it's just my timeline but Mo speaking out seems to have made him very unpopular with the fanbase this morning. Each to their own but I don't recall many being too bothered when Isak was acting the c**t all summer, to get what he wanted?

Mo's interview is disappointing. It's been obvious recently that it isn't a happy camp but it's not good when players speak out like this. Having said that, if I had to choose who was to leave between Mo and Slot, I wouldn't be choosing our Egyptian King. Slot looks increasingly out of his depth.

This is quality, on many levels! A great display of community spirit, a very, very drunk man and the comments are gold. 👌

Fair result, shite performance. It was easy for Slot when he could just put out Klopp's team and watch them go, unopposed, on a winning run. Now he's got work to do, he looks lost. I don't think he's got a clue how to turn this form around.

We play like we haven't got a plan. It's hard to believe that we're the current champions, watching this. The drop off is unreal.

If we have to have VAR, they should be telling refs to book players for clear and obvious simulation, like Odegaard just then. Embarrassing behaviour.

Missed the game as I am working. I listened on 5Live and it sounded like a deserved win. Looking forward to the highlights later and I haven't thought that for a while. 🙌

Mo dropped and Chiesa still doesn't get a start?! 🤔 Konate starts & Ramsay not even on the bench as he played for Liverpool U21's yesterday. Let's hope Gomez lasts the 90! Just bloody win Redmen!!

We look more likely to be playing in the Championship rather than the Champions League next season. I think Slot's position is one game away from being completely untenable. He may not even survive that long. It's a sad situation after last season's title win.

9 defeats in 12 and we're making PSV look like prime Barcelona. It's unacceptable, whichever way you look at it.

Konate has been making mistakes like that all season and he starts every match. It's reached a point where he needs dropping for his own sake.

The title win last season was obviously amazing and over the course of the season, deserved. I still maintain that Mo Salah's record breaking form masked a lot of faults and boy are we seeing that now that he isn't so prolific. Sad times.

Wales have been that good tonight that I reckon they could have beaten the whole of Macedonia. Looking forward to the play-offs now, especially with the second leg at home. 🤞🏴

I can accept the defeat. City are still a decent side with some good players. Large aspects of that performance were completely unacceptable though. They gave up after an hour. There's rightly a lot of talk about signings but I think too many players left in the summer. Just too much change.

We hear a lot these days about 3 matches in 7 days etc. Phil Neal played 417 consecutive matches for Liverpool! Plenty of midweek European aways and domestic cup replays/second replays thrown in. Not to mention the odd international appearance on top of all that. The game is well and truly gone.

A complete role reversal of what you want to see. Often an away team turn up, play well for 30-40 minutes before Liverpool's quality shines through and we take chances to comfortably kill off the tie. It was the other way round tonight against Palace and Carabao Cup or not, it's concerning.

I'll be interested to see how Wellity Lucky gets on here. I saw him against Bilbao in pre-season and he didn't have a great game to say the least. The club obviously rate him though.

It wasn't a team set up to win this match and we aren't going to win this match. Ramsay has been a big positive and good for Rio to get some minutes, Mac Allister to get back to fitness etc. Ultimately a disappointing half though.

Just sat down to watch the match. The line-up screams 'we don't care if we get knocked out here'! Absolutely wild given our current form.

The best teams usually have competition for places, keeping players on their toes for fear of being dropped. Liverpool don't have that in several positions at the moment, most noticeably in central defence. It doesn't bode well.

Never a penalty but my word, that was shocking. I'm not Slot out but I reckon he's done. How are we even trying to play? They look clueless.

I thought we might have benched Kerkez for the immediate future? I would honestly play either Robertson or Gomez ahead of him, at this moment in time. Here's hoping he proves me wrong. 🤞

It's always annoying to lose to that lot but it doesn't hurt quite so much when you deserve it. We need to start playing from the whistle, not when we're up against it. Mo Salah dug us out of so many holes last year but we can't keep relying on a 33-year-old to win games on his own. 🧵

Very poor that. Wirtz for MacAllister and Robertson for Kerkez would be my opening moves here. Ekitike and Chiesa, keep yourselves warm boys. Lucky not to be at least 2-0 down.

A promising start but Wales don't quite have the quality or depth of squad to match Belgium. Play offs now look like their only route. Bellamy tries to get them playing the right way and when it works it's good to watch. 🏴
