It's another Liverpool game where I watch and think, what is the game plan here? How are we trying to move the ball out from defence to create goalscoring opportunities? If we have got a plan and I can't see one, it isn't working so far.

This is similar to the first half an hour against Newcastle, only City are a better team. Our midfield is far too easy to play through. I feel we would be better with Szoboszlai in the middle.

I didn't expect to be happy with tonights performance after the first 30 minutes but that was a great effort from Arne and the Redmen. It is far too easy for opposing teams to bypass our midfield. Chances aplenty.

The current Liverpool midfield is an embarrassment. It's just so ineffective, both attacking and defending. We lose far more by taking Szoboszlai out of it than we gain by having him at right back. We look shambolic so far this evening.

Sad news regarding the severity of Conor Bradley's injury. It brings back memories of Rob Jones, another excellent right back. Hopefully Conor can recover and go on to enjoy a lengthy career with Liverpool.
