I had the honor and privilege to meet Oscar-nominated actor Coleman Domingo, a Philly native, who portrayed Bayard Rustin in the Netflix film “Rustin”. We met at a City Council meeting where I got to showcase my Resolution that declared March 17, 2025, as Bayard Rustin Day in PA.

Today, we passed four bills out of the PA House to protect the Affordable Care Act. I proudly voted for these bills that ensure millions of Pennsylvanians have access to quality, affordable healthcare.

I had the honor and privilege to present a citation to Mama Oyin who has dedicated over 20 years of her life to preserving and promoting African dance and culture at the Lonnie Young Recreation Center!
