Trump is dismantling programs that help minority-owned small businesses get contracts, build capacity, and stay afloat—because the playing field was never level to begin with. That’s real businesses and families on the line. In the #FightingFifth and beyond, I’m fighting to keep those doors open.

House Republicans kept DHS shut down for over 70 days, cutting off funding for TSA and more. They caved today and voted for Democrats’ bill to fund the parts of DHS that actually keep people safe. (1/2)

House Republicans passed a Farm Bill cutting SNAP, making it harder for families in the #FightingFifth and across the country to eat. I offered amendments to expand SNAP for students and count menstrual products, internet, and maternal care. I won’t stop fighting for your basic needs.

This Supreme Court decision is a direct attack on Black representation in Congress and the voting power of Black Americans in the #FightingFifth and across the country. Republicans are choosing power over people to hold onto control. We’ve fought this before. We will fight again.

Groceries, rent, and energy costs are rising as Trump’s unauthorized war drives prices higher at home. Republicans are refusing to address affordability while families struggle. That is a choice.
