Addressing the maternal health crisis takes action. I introduced the Tech to Save Moms Act—part of the #Momnibus—and the Maternal Health Equity Under Medicaid Act to expand access to care for mamas in the #FightingFifth and beyond—because investing in maternal health saves lives.

Republicans just blocked Democrats' efforts to rein in Trump’s unauthorized war. They chose Trump over the Constitution. Over the American people. Over accountability. This is what unchecked power looks like.

Corruption has no place in our democracy. We're launching the Anti-Corruption Task Force to hold this administration accountable and protect our elections. This is about transparency, accountability, and defending every American’s right to vote free from fear and intimidation.

This Tax Day, refunds are being eaten up by rising costs. When money is tight, scams and hidden fees hit harder. The CFPB protects consumers—but Trump’s FY27 budget slashes it by 75%. We should be strengthening protections, not weakening them.

Too many mamas lack access to the care they need. I introduced the Tech to Save Moms Act to expand telehealth, invest in digital tools, and connect moms to care in the #FightingFifth and across the country. We must use every tool available to improve outcomes and save lives.

During #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, we’re highlighting maternal mental health. Black women are 41% less likely to start treatment for maternal depression, and up to 40% experience postpartum depression—twice the rate of white women. (1/2)

On Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jews and the millions of others murdered during the Holocaust. We honor them by refusing to be silent in the face of antisemitism and hate. In the #FightingFifth and across our country, we must never forget.

During #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, we’re confronting barriers to care for Black mamas. In Georgia, 34.6% of counties are maternity care deserts. 15.8% of women lack a birthing hospital within 30 minutes. I’m uplifting the Georgia Health Policy Center and Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies expanding access

ATLANTA STAND UP 🏀🔥 ATL Hawks did what needed to be done. They took down the Cavs and secured their spot in the playoffs. The city is UP.

During #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, we’re shining a light on those improving outcomes for Black mamas. Black doulas provide critical, culturally grounded care that saves lives. I'm proud to highlight the National Black Doula Association, Birth In The Tradition, and the Atlanta Doula Collective.

This is what a public health crisis looks like. Black women are 2-3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than their white counterparts. Black mamas deserve to come home safe. #BlackMaternalHealthWeek is about awareness, accountability, and action.

Budgets set priorities and Trump’s budget is clear. More for defense, border security, and law enforcement. Less for small businesses, education, and Minority Serving Institutions in Georgia. Cuts to care. Cuts to opportunity. Cuts to the future. We should invest in people—not punitive systems.

Donald Trump is unfit to serve as the leader of the free world. That's why I have cosponsored H. Res. 939 Articles of Impeachment to remove him from office.

Our children can’t focus on learning if they’re carrying fear, stress, or trauma into the classroom. That’s why I secured over $400K for metro Atlanta schools to expand mental health support and prevent violence—because in the #FightingFifth, we invest in the whole child.
