Just registered for my first PLA conference. I've been to tons of OLCs and I’ve even been to IFLA once, but never an ALA/PLA event. Kinda stoked, especially since it'll be in my home town.

Getting kind of annoyed by all the “Mickey Mouse is now in the public domain” talk. No, my friends, he's not. Two Mickey Mouse cartoons are in the public domain. The Mouse himself is wrapped up in so many layers of trademark, copyright, and licensure that he looks dressed for a Halloween special.
