The feelings I’ve been feeling the last day from seeing Maybe Happy Ending is something I haven’t felt in a long while. I tried listening to the cast album today and I started crying all over again and had to stop. It’s wonderful when art impacts you in this way. It was so beautiful.

My sister and I had an amazing day seeing two broadway shows. The first? Gypsy with Audra Macdonald. The second? Maybe Happy Ending. Maybe Happy Ending was a marvel. An original story with incredible production design. Go see it if you can.

I just wish I knew exactly what I’m doing wrong. Chronic pain sucks. Today is pretty mild but I’m just uncomfortable all the time. And where I’m uncomfortable changes every day. I’m tired. Mentally and Physically.

Today I had an anxious student come in to take an open book take home exam. I was her cheerleader the whole way, and she survived! It’s little moments like this that I just LOVE what I do.

Working in an older building has its disadvantages sometimes… it’s 11F (-11C) outside. Guess I’m wearing my coat all day until Buildings and Grounds shows up

Today my back is less tight, thank goodness. But my left glute is so messy. I’m nervous about my massage today, but I’m hopeful this flare up is slowly behind me

The #SNL50 event was so fun! There were some definite misses, but overall it was a great show. I definitely need more of Eddie Murphy doing his Tracy Morgan impression…that had me howling

I made a good amount today. I’ll make more this weekend. My scraps are slowly dwindling! It makes me happy

I’m whittling down my scraps while simultaneously restocking my heart stash. I’m loving how all of these are turning out. Holding the yarn double is creating so many cool combinations!

Woke up pretty stiff and sore this morning. I had to back out of an event I was going to sell knitting at. I’m experimenting with pillows under my knees cuz my bolster helps my sciatica but makes my low back and hips messy. Used a thinner pillow and got a similar result. Ugh. Chronic pain sucks.

Knitters: if you finish a little project and use up the yarn right before the color change in a self striping yarn…does that count as winning yarn chicken?

Chronic pain sucks. Trying not to have a meltdown today cuz I didn’t get a lot of sleep due to my hip and thigh burning and stabbing last night. I wish I had a different body.

My cat has the best life.

I used to be able to stay up well past midnight often. Hell, during the pandemic I would go to bed around 4am. Now a days? If I’m up past ten I’m wrecked the next day. I went to bed at 1 on Saturday and I’m still feeling it today 😴

Ugh. Back is bugging me today. I am so sick of being in pain all the time. Icing and naproxen today I guess 🫠

The big Christopher Cross listen is postponed for the weekend. So the husband and I are jamming to this classic by Rage Against the Machine

Listened to More Christopher Cross this morning. His 90s albums scream “Tammy and Roger go to a couples retreat”. But it’s been fine listening. His first album is still the best.

Day 4 of disassociating with Christopher Cross’ music catalogue is postponed due to a snow day. I’ve now listened to his first 4 albums and I gotta say, his first is still the best. I will saunter on, just taking a day off.

Today is day 3 of disassociating and just listening to Christopher Cross. I’ve moved on to listening to his catalogue. His second album was not as good as his first, but his third is fun so far.

Nothing worse than being at a craft fair with 90 vendors and only making 3 sales. I guess it wasn’t my day. At least I made the table fee back 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Tomorrow is February which historically is the month I begin to question everything about my life and generally have no faith or confidence in myself. I’m *so* glad it started a day early this year 🫠

We got our photos back from the Mill 5 photoshoot we did. I love them so much and it’s making the closing of the Mill this weekend even more bittersweet. I’ll be posting a few later this week. I promise!

I thought I was getting a mild cold but it’s actually Covid. I’m so mad and upset. Madder that I’ve exposed people unintentionally. I masked when I got symptoms. Thankfully this time I have vaccines and boosters on my side.

I’m sitting and waiting to get a filling at the dentist. I am not looking forward to being numb for most of the day 🙃

Oh just knitting and watching a movie at the library. We’re watching Paper Moon. I’ve never seen it before and it’s a gem!

Your chronic pain friends are brave today because they’re icing on their way to work when it’s single digits outside. We have a strength we never knew we needed or wanted 😂

Massage yesterday, chiropractor today and PT on Thursday. Here’s hoping this will help all of the general messiness that is the lower half of my body.

Donated to the ACLU today. It’s not much, but it’s something. I’m refusing to watch tv or interact with the news.

Had easily one of the Best Meals of my life last night. Uni Boston is a place you should not sleep on. It’s pricey, but WORTH IT. Here’s a pic of the Tuna and Foie Gras Sashimi we had. I didn’t take many other photos but I assure you every bite we had was unique and flavorful.

I am not trying to turn this spot into a pain blog, but it’s quiet enough here to just get it out in the ether. I felt fine today after normal morning stiffness and then I took a shower. Why is it that my shower triggers tingling in my thigh!? Ugh I hate pain and my body so much.

A thought this morning: I’m kinda sick of people saying to me “but you’re so young!” When I talk about my chronic pain. Im 37. But also, pain is pain. I wish I didn’t have this pain, but it’s here and I’m dealing with it.
